My work evolves from the interaction of
diverse themes. I see it as a fusion of concepts varying from subjective
histories to quotidian references. For example, I appropriate and rework
images and ideas from art history, different types of magazines, free
shopping guides, images and travel. During my image making process, I
use memory and imagination, with reasoning and intuition. My images are
subjective: Who am I? - What do I know? - What are my defined roles and
their interactions within society? This accumulation of diverse ideas in
the form of related/ unrelated charged images is my way of comparing and
presenting wide-ranging issues and concepts to produce a thought
provoking image. I want to see my imagery as a potential code that can
carry multiple interpretations, rather than a single meaning.
