 Gwenllian Beynon

Gwenllian Beynon - outreach artist

Gwenllian was born in Ammanford in 1963. Following a career in nursing she studied fine art in Carmarthen and Cardiff Schools of Art before gaining an MA in Printmaking at Wimbledon School of Art, London in 1996. Since then, she’s established herself as a freelance artist.  This experienced artist has led creative workshops, and workshops to develop the individual’s creative skills, bilingually since 1989. Gwenllian is also committed to sharing her skill and knowledge as a higher education teacher and this is reinforced with a Postgraduate Certificate in Post-16 Education. Gwenllian exhibits and sells internationally.

As a Welsh person, my nationality is often reflected in my visual work. I tell stories and use symbolism to convey my message in response to life experiences. Now living in Pontrhydfendigaid, Mid Wales, my environment and the area in which I live influences the images I create.
